The Fellowship of the Ring receives five BAFTA awards, including Best Picture and the David Lean Award for Achievement in Directing for Peter Jackson and had been nominated for an impressive 13 acadamy awards but sadly only managed to scoop 4 awards including best Visual Effects,
Cinematography, Makeup and best Music (score).
