Tasting the Succulent olives I was thinking of the impossibility of symmetry, calculated to the 53rd decimal point. The axis of the Megalography seemed to be analogue to the preterite, cutting across both The Grid and The Group tending towards separate Asymptotes within a general Hyperbole.
The installation is based on the Gallery sphere. It is a social observation, which looks at the art system from the Gallery to the Artist and to the Viewer. Layers of cosmological, analytical and social structures, becomes an orchestrated visualisation between objects, photographs and a survey. Shifting between the states of belonging to desires of belonging, the pieces create varieties of ego-centred categories of behaviour. Location becomes an identity, a personal orientation and an analytic observation about the viewers. While reading and observing the work, the viewers not only become observers, but also a part of the function of the piece. Information is understood, experienced and read both horizontally and vertically, dissecting different parts of this specific social structure.
